The Municipal Council in Sungurlare is gathering for its thirty-fourth session to vote on the municipality's annual budget. The debates begin at 10:00 AM in the city's ceremonial hall.

The financial framework for this year amounts to nearly 29 million euros. The funds are earmarked for the implementation of infrastructure projects and the execution of urgent ongoing repairs to municipal buildings.

The agenda includes a total of 13 items. Council members will discuss changes to local fees and service prices, as well as an amendment to the 2026 program for the management and disposal of municipal property.

During the session, the liquidation of co-ownership through the sale of a municipal plot in the village of Beronovo will be reviewed. A procedure for issuing a permit for the use of a reservoir affecting properties in the lands of the villages of Beronovo and Skala is also planned.

The local authority will review amendments to detailed development plans for sites in Block 16 of Sungurlare, where a polyclinic, hospital, and social services are located, as well as for landscaping in Block 49 of the village of Slavyantsi. Mayor Dimitar Gavazov is submitting a proposal to authorize classes with fewer students than the minimum required for the 2026/2027 school year.

The Committee on Education, Healthcare, Sports, and Tourism is proposing the granting of one-time financial aid to citizens. The agenda also includes a request to secure a stop for the Sofia – Varna express train at the Zavet station, which aims to improve transport accessibility in the region.
