The Municipal Council in Primorsko: New Councilors, Decisions and Changes

Today's meeting of the Municipal Council in Primorsko began with the swearing-in of the new municipal councilor Krasimir Ralev, who officially took office.

The councilors reviewed a total of 13 items on the agenda, with the majority of the proposals being adopted unanimously.

Among the first decisions was a change in the composition of the standing committees to the Municipal Council, as well as the election of representatives to the commission for conducting tenders and competitions for the management and disposal of municipal property. Both proposals, submitted by the chairman of the council Zlatina Tyulieva, were adopted with 13 votes “for”.

With a full majority, the councilors also approved the annual financial report of “Medical Center – Primorsko” EOOD for 2024.

During the meeting, several reports by Mayor Ivan Gaikov were also considered. Among them – termination of co-ownership of property in the village of Yasna Polyana, as well as allowing the development of a detailed urban plan for property in the land of the village of Veselie. The latter proposal was adopted with 12 votes “for” and one “abstention”.

The Municipal Council also supported two proposals for granting social assistance to residents of Primorsko, which were adopted unanimously and without debate.

The scope and regime of the “blue zone” for parking was discussed. At the proposal of the mayor of Kiten, the parking lot of the “Morsko utro” holiday resort was excluded from the scope of the zone, so that it can be used for both paid subscriptions and free parking. Mayor Ivan Gaikov announced that the municipality is working on finalizing a new transport scheme, including more parking spaces, a two-story parking lot in the new city park, and an additional buffer parking lot. The report was adopted with the corrections made with 13 votes “for”.

A plan-scheme for the placement of movable objects on the territory of the municipality was also approved by a majority.

The councilors unanimously supported the proposal to issue a promissory note in favor of the State Fund “Agriculture”, securing an advance payment for MIRG Primorsko – Tsarevo for 2026. An update of the price list for the sale of timber from municipal forests was also adopted. According to Mayor Gaikov, the changes are minimal and aim to maintain the activity in the sector. During the meeting, another proposal for the termination of co-ownership of land was also voted on, which also received the support of all 13 councilors.
