New equipment for the fire department in Nessebar
Mayor Nikolay Dimitrov provided the Regional Fire Safety and Population Protection Service in Nessebar with modern specialized protective equipment. The donation includes specialized clothing for fighting forest fires and STIHL FUNCTION gear, which will ensure greater safety for the firefighters.
"It is our duty to be a reliable partner to the institutions that work daily for the security of the citizens and guests of the municipality," stated Mayor Nikolay Dimitrov.
Partnership for security
The equipment was provided under the project "Increasing readiness for preventing and managing disasters, fires, and emergencies in the Burgas region." Funding is provided by the "Human Resources Development" Program 2021–2027 through the European Social Fund Plus.
- Investment amounting to 8,758.42 euros.
- Improved protection against forest fires.
- Support for the municipal volunteer units.

The director of the Regional Directorate for Fire Safety and Population Protection – Burgas, Senior Commissioner Nikolay Nikolaev, expressed gratitude for the long-standing successful cooperation between the Municipality of Nessebar and the fire department.
