Young Talents in Burgas: Who Won the NAFA Student Drawing Competition?

Creative Triumph at Burgas Port

At the National Academy of Arts – Burgas Branch, in the „Magazia 1“ hall at Burgas Port, a meeting of the jury for the academic drawing competition was held – a traditional event that provides young talents with the opportunity to demonstrate their artistic skills and potential.

The jury consisted of: Prof. Svetozar Benchev – chairman, Chief Asst. Dr. Janina Dubrova-Kostadinova, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alexander Tashev – members. Also participating in the meeting was Lyudmila Kutieva – representative of the Burgas Municipality.

After careful review and evaluation of the presented works, the commission distinguished the best participants in the two age groups – 11th and 12th grade.

Winners in 11th Grade

• First place: Raya Kirova Nedyalkova (score 6.00)
• Second place: Katrin Stanislav Staykova (score 5.90) – also received the special award in the name of Georgi Baev
• Third place: Krum Rosenov Dafinov (score 5.70)

High scores were also awarded to other participants, including Dariya Dimova Zheleva (5.60) and Viktoria Venkova Garkova (5.50).

Winners in 12th Grade

• First places: Viktoria Radostinova Yordanova and Gergana Dragomirova Srebreva (score 5.60)
• Second place: Margarita Hristova Mircheva and Ivaylo Damyanov Cholakov (score 5.50)
• Third place: Yannica Nikolaeva Ilcheva (score 5.30)

The academic drawing competition is an important part of the admission campaign of the NAA – Burgas Branch and provides prospective students with the opportunity to become acquainted with the academic requirements and environment. The event once again confirmed the high level of preparation of the young artists and their aspiration for development in the field of fine arts.
