On June 18, 2025 at 7:00 PM Bulgarian time, the European Patent Office will hold an awards ceremony for the "Young Inventors Prize" competition for this year. The event will take place in Reykjavik, Iceland and will be separate from the "European Inventor Award" ceremony, thus specifically emphasizing young innovators.
The "Young Inventors Prize" competition aims to inspire and motivate young people up to 30 years of age to create innovative solutions that contribute to a more sustainable future. Each edition selects ten "Tomorrow Shapers" - young innovators or teams whose technical developments in the field of sustainable development deserve recognition. Participants are divided into three categories - "World Builders", "Community Healers" and "Nature Guardians", and a special prize will be awarded for each.
Each selected "Tomorrow Shaper" will receive a cash prize of 5,000 euros and a certificate. The three winners of the special awards will be honored with 15,000 euros and a trophy each. The audience will also have the opportunity to choose their favorite in the "People's Choice" category, who will win an additional 5,000 euros. Each participant can be awarded only one special prize, but can also be chosen as the audience's favorite.
