The "Bulgarche" Bulgarian Sunday School in the city of Tatarbunary, Ukraine, has officially announced that it is continuing to accept children and young people aged 4 to 18 for the upcoming school year. Information about the start of the enrollment campaign was shared by the educational center in a post on its Facebook page.

The educational program focuses on an in-depth study of the Bulgarian language, covering both literacy and reading development, as well as ongoing conversational practice. The curriculum also includes the subjects of history and geography of Bulgaria, through which students learn about the significant landmarks and history of their homeland. The school also offers vocal classes focused on learning Bulgarian folk and contemporary songs, with teachers using interactive methods such as music, games, and creative projects to preserve Bulgarian cultural roots and build connections among students.

The history of the "Bulgarche" Bulgarian Sunday School dates back to 2014, when it was founded under the Tatarbunary District Bulgarian Cultural and Educational Society "Rodolyubie". During its first two years, the institution operated solely in the village of Delzhiler under the National Program "Native Language and Culture Abroad", gaining educational experience and creative potential. Subsequently, in the 2016/2017 school year, the school expanded its scale by opening three new branches in the cities of Tatarbunary and Kiliya, as well as in the village of Novoselovka, located in the Kiliya district. This expansion was carried out under Decree No. 334 of the Council of Ministers of Bulgaria.

In its current operations, the "Bulgarche" Bulgarian Sunday School functions under Decree No. 90 of the Council of Ministers from May 29, 2018. This period is marked by the opening of three more branches in the Artsyz district – in the city of Artsyz, the Artsyz-2 neighborhood, and the village of Nadezhdovka. At present, the structure consists of eight branches, where approximately 810 students are taught in 49 classes, supported by a total of 45 teachers.

The "Bulgarche" Bulgarian Sunday School also hosts a number of specialized workshops that enrich the program:

  • folk dancing;
  • folk instruments;
  • folk singing;
  • theatrical arts;
  • folk applied arts.

The total number of children and young people participating in these extracurricular activities is 341. As a recognized institution, the school is a member of the World Association of Bulgarian Schools Abroad.
