"Match of Hope" in Burgas: Iliyana Yotova and stars in support of charity

Football and solidarity in Burgas

The spectacular charity "Match of Hope" took place at the "Lazur" stadium in Burgas. The initiative, organized by the legendary national team captain Stiliyan Petrov, brought together Bulgarian and world football stars for a common cause.

"We can unite around a cause and be in solidarity," stated Vice President Iliana Iotova, who attended the event in person.

The funds raised from the match will be directed toward the treatment of football icons Lyuboslav Penev and Petar Hubchev. Iliana Iotova did not hide her emotion, noting that the event is proof of the power of unity in society.

A spectacle on and off the pitch

The football evening began with emotional musical performances by Papi Hans. A number of popular figures took to the pitch, and among the official guests were:

• Encho Keryazov – Minister of Youth and Sports
• Dimitar Nikolov – Mayor of Burgas
• Manol Todorov – Deputy Mayor for Tourism and Sports
• Members of Parliament

Beyond the sporting excitement, the event highlighted the symbolism of solidarity. Iotova shared that she has been following Stiliyan Petrov's career for years and admires his dedication, noting that she herself expressed her support for France in the upcoming World Cup.
