Burgas will host the first Khabib Team camp in Bulgaria. Teodor Karastoyanov has agreed with Umar Nurmagomedov to hold a master class in the city.

Karastoyanov has returned to Burgas, where Bulgarian Fight Agency (BFA) is based, from Makhachkala in Dagestan. He went there with a group of Bulgarian fighters at the invitation of local club KNK MMA Team. He and Nurmagomedov were photographed together in Makhachkala.

Nurmagomedov comes from the school around Khabib Nurmagomedov and is one of the leading names in world MMA. At the master class, Bulgarian fighters will learn directly from members of the Dagestan school. The organisers say local and national fighting communities will see how top international fighters train.

Karastoyanov also discussed joint training camps with KNK MMA Team. Bulgarians will train in Dagestan, and Dagestani fighters and coaches will visit Bulgaria.

Bulgarian Fight Agency has already said it is organising the first K-1 event in Bulgaria. In October we reported that it will take place on 12 December 2026 at 5pm at the Mladost Sports Hall in Burgas.

The visit could lead to a long-term exchange of experience between the two schools and to international training events in Burgas.
