GERB: It is irresponsible to turn a murder into a political dividing line
GERB has issued an official statement on Facebook, in which they describe the use of serious crimes for political purposes as irresponsible. The occasion is a statement by Prime Minister Rumen Radev regarding the case of the murder of Georgi Kuzev in Plovdiv.
Violence has no party affiliation, the party states.
Requirements for the Prime Minister
GERB emphasizes that Rumen Radev is no longer a political commentator, but the Prime Minister, from whom society expects actions, not criticism of the opposition. The main highlights of their position are:
- Ensuring public order and security.
- Ensuring functional institutions.
- Readiness to support any legislative changes that protect citizens and children.
Comment on the governance program
Regarding the presented governance program of the cabinet, GERB notes that it comes with a three-month delay. According to them, the announced intentions sound good, but the party will comment on them in detail after familiarizing itself with the full text.
We remind you that earlier today, Prime Minister Rumen Radev criticized politicians and influencers for accumulating party capital from the tragedy in Plovdiv.

Абе хора, сериозно ли? Убийство в Пловдив?! И Радев пак с тия... Все едно си гледам стари клипове от 90-те! Да, ГЕРБ правят гръм и прашка, но да не забравяме, че и те са били на власт доста време. Ясно е, че никой не иска "политически обвинения", ама как да стане иначе? Има си институции, дето трябва да работят.
