Burgas Municipality is organizing the “Martenitsi Shevitsi” (March Embroidery) celebration tomorrow, February 27th, at 11:30 am in the Ethnographic Museum.

The organizers are the municipal directorate “Healthcare, Prevention and Social Activities”, jointly with partner organizations, and the initiative is dedicated to Bulgarian traditions and holidays - Baba Marta (Grandma March) and March 3rd.

Participants in the festive event will be children and adults from social structures in the territory of Burgas Municipality - Day Center for adults with severe multiple disabilities, managed by Toni Kostova, Center for Family-Type Accommodation for children and young people with disabilities 4 and 5, “Vetren” district, managed by Zlatina Berbenlieva, students with a folk singing profile at Secondary School “Dobri Chintulov”, dancers from the Dance Group “Zvezdichki” from Primary School “St. Kl. Ohridski”, as well as singing groups from several pensioner clubs in the city.

Songs and legends from the folklore wealth of Bulgaria, passed down through generations, will remind us of our traditions, spirit and patriotism.
