Aytos is marking St Demetrius Day, the town's holiday, today with events organised by the council throughout the day.

The day starts at 9am with a service at St Demetrius church.

At 11am a religious procession will pass through Svoboda Square. Flags will then be raised and a prayer service held for the health and well-being of residents. Mayor Vasil Edrev will greet the townspeople.

Local dance groups will perform the concert "Aytos Usukanitsa". Singer Desislava takes the stage at 11:30am.

The biggest event of the day is the evening concert "I Love Aytos" at 6:30pm, with Robi performing.

The celebrations began last week and are still going.
