Following the great success of the guest performances in several Bulgarian cities, the musical "My Fair Lady" returns to the stage, promising the audience new encounters with the unforgettable classic. After conquering the stages in Burgas, Ruse, and Varna, as well as triumphing at the National Musical Theatre "Stefan Makedonski", the show will once again come to life on the stage of the State Opera – Burgas on October 17 at 7 PM. The audience in Stara Zagora will also have the opportunity to enjoy the magic of the musical, as on October 21, again at 7:00 PM, the production will be presented at the State Opera – Stara Zagora.

The stage adaptation, the work of Prof. Dr. Alexander Tekeliev, will unfold its beauty and impact under the baton of the renowned Ivan Kozhuharov. Melodies that carry a message for a better world, filled with harmony and perfection – a world that every person carries in their most cherished dreams, will be heard from the stage.

The musical, based on the play "Pygmalion" by George Bernard Shaw, is one of the most performed worldwide. It not only entertains but also brings with it a dose of romance and life philosophy. The show is inspired by the famous film "My Fair Lady", winner of numerous "Oscar" and "Golden Globe" awards, with Audrey Hepburn and Rex Harrison in the leading roles, who turned the story into a global phenomenon.

From the very beginning, with the first chords and the lavish stage picture, the audience is immersed in the atmosphere of London. The square in front of Covent Garden, filled with hustle and bustle, witnesses the birth of an extraordinary love – that between the flower girl Eliza Doolittle and the professor of phonetics Henry Higgins. The thrilling transformation of the main character, as well as overcoming prejudice and social barriers, are at the heart of the plot.

The scene moves to the Professor's home, where Eliza transforms from a flower girl with a terrible dialect and manners into a sophisticated lady. Her unconditional acceptance by high society at the ball in Buckingham Palace is the culmination of a six-month training, set in a bet between Professor Higgins and Colonel Pickering. The romantic story ends with a happy and instructive ending, as befits every classic fairy tale.

The direction, the overall brilliant appearance, the scenography of Ivan Tokadjiev, the elegant choreography of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anna Pampulova – in the scenes with the ball in Buckingham Palace, as well as the energetic dance performances on the street, are just some of the components that turn the show into an unforgettable experience. Over 200 costumes, the work of Yana Dvoretska, complement the visual impact. Depth and emotion are also brought by the musicians from the choir, whose conductor is Alexander Chepanov. Lina Peeva is the assistant director, and Vanya Zlateva and Hristo Belchev are concertmasters.

Under the guidance of Ivan Kozhuharov, conductor-director, the orchestra creates a true "Hollywood sound", which is in full harmony with the spirit of "My Fair Lady". The atmosphere backstage is lively, and the musicians seem to enjoy their work, achieving impressive musical results.

In the role of Eliza Doolittle, we will once again see the charismatic soprano Ilina Mihailova, soloist of the State Opera – Varna and the National Musical Theatre, who gives new life to the image of Eliza. She transforms into a sophisticated lady under the guidance of Professor Henry Higgins. The tenor Marcho Apostolov, soloist of the National Musical Theatre "Stefan Makedonski", will once again take on the role of Professor Higgins. Petar Tiholov will embody the role of Pickering, and Diman Panchev will play Alfred Doolittle. Yani Nikolov will be in the image of Freddie. Irina Dobrovolskaya will play the role of Mrs. Pearce, and Stefka Hristozova – the aristocratic mother of Henry Higgins. Shmilena Sultanova will be in the role of Mrs. Hill. In the images of Doolittle's friends – Harry and Jamie, Georgi Bozveliev and Miroslav Dimitrov will be embodied. Emil Peychev will be the Innkeeper, Milen Georgiev – a Northerner, Bozidar Kmetov – a Southerner, Milen Dinolov – a Westerner, Darina Zapryanova – Mrs. Hopkins, Kalina Popova – Queen of Transylvania, and Alexander Perperiev – Ambassador.
