This year, Nessebar becomes a cultural capital, hosting the fifth consecutive edition of the prestigious theater festival MONTFIZ Art Fest. The forum will unfold its rich program from September 2 to 8, offering residents and guests of the city a week filled with art, education, and inspiration.
The Festival – a platform for creative development
The festival's program is carefully structured to be both dynamic and diverse. At its heart is a series of ateliers and workshops aimed at improving key skills. Participants will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of acting, improve their stage speech, and develop their communication and presentation skills. These sessions are open not only to future actors but also to anyone who wants to improve their ability to express themselves freely and confidently in front of an audience.
The theater workshops will be held daily from 9:30 AM to 8:00 PM at the 'Yana Laskova - 1905' Community Center. Additional workshops are also planned for the 'Sochi' conference center on September 4, 5, and 7, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The quality of the training is guaranteed by some of the most prominent names in the field of theater pedagogy and practice. The instructors include Prof. Dr. Penko Gospodinov, Dimitar Kasabov, Georg Kiryakov, Aleksandar Mandzhukov, and Teia Sugareva, whose presence promises a thorough and professional approach to every topic.
Theater stage with free admission
The culmination of the festival's program is three theater performances, which will take place at 8:00 PM at the 'Yana Laskova' Community Center. The audience will have the pleasure of seeing productions from various theater troupes from all over Bulgaria. One of the most anticipated events is the play "There, where the pain kisses the light", which will be performed on September 7, also at 8:00 PM. This production is based on texts by Bulgarian and foreign poets, which promises depth and emotionality.
All performances will have free admission, which is a special gesture from the Municipality of Nessebar to the residents and guests of the city. This is a wonderful opportunity for a wide audience to experience the magic of theater, without any financial barriers. The initiative highlights the local government's commitment to cultural development and access to art for all.
