Burgas is preparing to become a center for a key strategic dialogue on the future of the Black Sea region. On October 24th, the doors of the International Congress Center will open for the international forum "Black Sea 2030: Partnership for a Sustainable Future", a significant initiative whose goal is to outline a path to sustainable development and strengthen cooperation between countries in the region.

Organized by Burgas Municipality in partnership with the "ProspectiM" Association, the scientific community, representatives of the maritime business and the non-governmental sector, the forum aims to build a platform for the exchange of innovative ideas and good practices. The event will bring together representatives of local and national authorities, European institutions, universities, civil organizations and businesses in one place. Participants are expected to discuss concrete solutions and policies that will support sustainable development in the Black Sea region.

The forum will focus its attention on several main topics. Among them are the green transition, the protection of the marine and coastal environment, as well as digitalization and the promotion of innovation in the field of the blue economy. The discussions are expected to stimulate the creation of new partnerships between the public sector, academia and the maritime business. In this way, practical steps for accelerating the transition to a sustainable development model are also expected to be outlined.

The organizers aim for the forum to become an annual event. This will establish Burgas as a leading regional hub for dialogue and policy development in the Black Sea basin. Through these efforts, the city will strengthen its position as a leader in contemporary debates on sustainable local development, innovation and the preservation of natural resources.

The initiative "Black Sea 2030: Partnership for a Sustainable Future" is the next step for Burgas towards consolidating its image as a modern, open and future-oriented city. The city strives to serve as a bridge between the countries and institutions that are working for a cleaner, more innovative and prosperous Black Sea.
