Employers and appointing authorities in the state administration can now see the full electronic employment record of their staff, including data from earlier jobs, the National Revenue Agency (NRA) said today.

Until now, they could see only the details they had filed themselves.

The new service is called "Access for an employer/appointing authority to data from the Employment Register for an employee/worker". It is already running. It is in the "Reports" section of the NRA's e-services portal, and users need a qualified electronic signature (QES) to log in. Each person has a single electronic employment record, kept in the Employment Register.

An employer can check only people who have an employment or civil service relationship with it. The service does not show the amount of pay or benefits. Once that relationship ends, access to the person's record stops automatically.

Authorised representatives can use the service after they file an "Application for submitting documents electronically and using the electronic administrative services provided by the NRA with the QES of an authorised person" or a "Notification for submitting documents electronically and using the electronic administrative services provided by the NRA with the QES of an authorised person".

With the new service, the NRA now offers more than 200 e-services for citizens and business. Some are open to everyone. Others need a personal identification code (PIC) and a QES.
