The folk concert "Thracian Tapestry" starts today, 23 October, at 5.30pm in the cinema hall of the Father Paisiy 1896 chitalishte (community cultural centre) in Sozopol. Singers of several generations from Sozopol, Ravadinovo, Burgas, Yambol, Tsarevo and Sinemorets will perform.

The concert is part of the municipal project "Antea Art Sozopol". Sozopol municipality organises it, and the Ministry of Culture funds the project.

The "Strandzhanska Ogarlitsa" choir comes from Burgas, with a solo by Nedyalka Stoyanova and a duet with Donka Shahova. The "Trakiyka" folk group represents Yambol. Folk singer and folklorist Georgi Kostov also takes part, as does Dimitar Dimitrov of the "Yani Popov" Thracian Association in Sozopol.

The Prosveta 1935 chitalishte represents Ravadinovo, with its children's folk group, the "Ravadinski Glaschetsa" ensemble, soloist Krisia Dimova and Mariyana Pazvantova.

The village folk groups "Strandzhanski Napevi" from Tsarevo and "Kalandzha" from Sinemorets will perform authentic folk music.
