Temporary restriction of traffic on Struma motorway for graffiti cleaning
The traffic at the 45th km of the "Struma" motorway will be restricted to one lane in the direction of Blagoevgrad and Sofia on June 11 and 12 due to the cleaning of facilities from graffiti. Drivers are urged to drive carefully and follow the temporary signage.

Repair activities on the 10-kilometer section of the Trakia Motorway continue until the end of the week.
The repair of the 10-kilometer section of the Trakia highway between the 98th and 108th kilometer in the direction of Burgas is ongoing. Traffic is currently being carried out on the repaired lane towards Sofia, with one lane established in both directions. The activities on the asphalt pavement are expected to be completed by the end of the week.
Railway connections between the capital and the seaside towns during the summer season.
The National Railway Company offers optimized seasonal train routes between Sofia and Burgas, as well as between Sofia and Varna, for the period from June 15 to September 15. Fast trains with specific schedules, ticket prices, and travel conditions are provided.
A new rope attraction with multiple obstacles will appear in Lake Park this summer.
Toros Play company will build and manage a new rope park in Lake Park for the next 10 years. The attraction will include 76 different obstacles on four floors with a height of 13.5 meters and will offer educational and recreational activities for children and adults.

Assoc. Prof. Petko Stefanovski, manager of the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF), ordered comprehensive checks to establish any possible draining of funds from the NHIF budget in the revealed illegal homes for the elderly in different regions of the country. The NHIF management is working in close cooperation with the Executive Agency "Medical Supervision" on the case.
A resident of Burgas was detained with illegal weapons and ammunition during a police operation.
Employees of the Criminal Police in Burgas carried out a search in a private property and found four illegally possessed rifles, three of which were 12-gauge, as well as a large quantity of ammunition of various calibers. The detained 50-year-old man from the Dolno Ezerovo neighborhood was detained for a period of up to 24 hours, and pre-trial proceedings have been initiated in the case.
A police operation in Sunny Beach uncovers large-scale trade in laughing gas.
During a specialized police operation in a resort nightclub in Sunny Beach, hundreds of magazines, balloons and flasks with nitrous oxide were found and seized. Two sellers and several individuals using nitrous oxide were identified, and warning protocols were drawn up. Checks for illegal trade and use of the so-called "laughing gas" will continue throughout the resort season.
The European Commission has updated the "Environment" Programme for the period 2021-2027.
The European Commission approved an amendment to the Environment Programme 2021-2027 on June 4, 2025. The changes are a result of the mid-term review of the programme and will support the achievement of the environmental objectives financed by it. The amendments include expanding eligible investments in the water and sewerage sector, introducing new measures for municipal waste management, support for protected areas and national parks, as well as updating the target values of indicators for various priorities.

The Municipality of Sozopol is expanding innovative health and social services for vulnerable groups.
The Monitoring Committee of the Human Resources Development Program 2021-2027 approved criteria for a new operation that will improve the provision of integrated health and social services in a home environment for single-living persons with disabilities and elderly people unable to self-care. The activities will be carried out by the Complex of Social Services and Healthcare in Sozopol Municipality, with an expected support for 48 users.
Smooth transition to the euro - Employers, trade unions and the government unite to prevent price speculation
On June 9, 2025, AOBR, the trade unions, and the government signed a memorandum of cooperation to ensure a smooth introduction of the euro in Bulgaria. Employers' organizations have committed to assist in the correct reflection of the consequences of the euro and to prevent speculative practices. Statistics show that countries that have not adopted the euro have higher debts, inflation, and deficits compared to Bulgaria.
