On June 9, 2025, AOBR, the trade unions, and the government signed a memorandum of cooperation to ensure a smooth introduction of the euro in Bulgaria. The government signed six contracts worth over 443 million leva for the construction of digital networks in the country, in order to provide high-speed internet access even in sparsely populated regions. Repair activities on a 3-kilometer section of the Trakia Motorway in Burgas region
The Road Infrastructure Agency is repairing the asphalt pavement in the lane for Burgas on the Trakia Motorway between km 339 and km 342. Traffic is only allowed in the overtaking lane, with the active and emergency lanes closed for passage. The repair work will continue until June 13 and is necessary to ensure the safety and comfort of travelers.

Repair of the sewerage system closes a key section in the center of Sofia
Due to urgent repair work on the sewage system on William Gladstone Street in Sofia, the section between G.S. Rakovski Street and Vasil Levski Street, including both intersections, will be closed to traffic from today for three weeks. Reform in rail transport: New model for awarding passenger services
Deputy Prime Minister Grozdan Karadjov presented to the trade union organizations a draft for determining the conditions and procedure for awarding public contracts for passenger transport by rail. It is planned to allocate two regions, in which candidates for regional operators will compete, as well as a separate region for candidates with proven experience in the sector. The duration of the contracts is proposed to be 12 years, with the locomotives, wagons and railcars acquired by the state after 2009 to be used proportionally by the operators.

The Ministry of Innovation and Growth (MIG) provided additional funds to support over 850 family and creative companies, with the total amount of investments reaching nearly 194 million BGN. In the coming days, MIG will open new procedures for digitalization and energy efficiency with a budget of 206 million BGN.
