A reader, Anna, contacted the BurgasMedia editorial team to report a scam using the name of the popular courier company Speedy. She explained that she received a message with a link leading to a suspicious website.
“I received an SMS, supposedly from Speedy, about a parcel and a link for confirmation. When I opened it, the site looked strange and asked for personal details and banking information,” Anna shares.
“If someone isn’t careful, they could easily enter their data and get scammed. More people need to be warned.”
“I checked directly in the Speedy app and found that I had no parcels. That confirmed my suspicion that the message was fake,” she adds.
BurgasMedia reminds readers that courier companies never request personal data or banking codes via SMS or email. If you receive such a message, do not open the link and contact the company’s official customer service.
