Beach volleyball fans in Burgas left without one of the free nets
BurgasMedia

Readers report that one of the two free volleyball nets on the beach in Burgas has disappeared.

Our reader Georgi, who together with his friends regularly plays beach volleyball at the Central Beach in Burgas. For them, volleyball is not just a game – it is a way to maintain good physical shape, socialize, and spend the summer actively.

According to Georgi, there are only two free volleyball nets on the entire large beach in Burgas, where matches are played daily and queues form from those wishing to join the game. Volleyball players, families with children, and beginner players take turns on the court to complete their sets and try their first ace in volleyball.

Recently, however, one of these nets was taken down and removed. Beachgoers share that they heard the net might have been removed by people associated with the nearby Baywatch bar, but no one saw the moment of removal and the exact circumstances are unclear. Therefore, at the moment, these allegations remain only rumors that have yet to be verified.

According to Georgi, the unpleasant thing about the situation is that instead of explaining to people what is happening and whether the field will continue to be used for sports, the net simply disappeared. Thus, the volleyball players are literally left without a zone where they can play, and many of them are already asking "What is a zone in volleyball" not according to the rules, but in the literal sense – are there any zones left for free sports on the beach at all.

Volleyball, whether we are talking about classic or beach, is a sport that positively affects a person's figure and health. Readers often ask us "How does volleyball affect the figure" and "How does volleyball affect human health" – movement, jumping, coordination, and team play develop muscles, endurance, and social skills. Therefore, it is no surprise that more and more people are looking for places for volleyball in Burgas and along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast.

The beach in Burgas has been promoted as a place for sports for years – there are courts for volleyball, soccer, and sand tennis, and beach volleyball is becoming a favorite summer activity for both professional volleyball players and amateurs. It is no coincidence that questions like "What is volleyball", "What is a tie-break in volleyball" or "How does volleyball affect a person" are increasingly asked by parents who want to direct their children toward sports.

In this context, the removal of one of the few free nets seems like a step backward for people who love outdoor sports. It is completely understandable to seek a balance between establishments, tourists, and athletes, but the decision to simply have no net does not help the good image of either the beach or the city. It would be much more logical to look for a solution where bars and volleyball players share the space and even help each other – for example, through sports events, tournaments, and joint initiatives.

Georgi and his group do not blame anyone directly, but they hope that the owners and employees of Baywatch will take an interest in the report and seek a dialogue with the athletes to clarify what happened and whether the net can be restored. They believe that the beach in Burgas can be an example of a place where business and sports go hand in hand.

The editorial staff of BurgasMedia.com hopes that the competent institutions will pay attention to the case and check under what conditions the net was removed, whether there is a permit, and whether enough volleyball courts will be provided in Burgas. Outdoor sports are important for people's health and should not be turned into an "obstacle" for any bar or establishment.
