Several satirical pages on Facebook were deactivated today. The Ministry of Interior stated that the «Cybercrime» directorate under GDBOP is not connected to the case.
Bulgaria's organised crime agency GDBOP says its cybercrime directorate had nothing to do with the shutdown of several satirical Facebook pages today, the Interior Ministry said.
The ministry was responding to questions from several media outlets. It said the pages were probably taken down after mass reports from many users, or by a decision of the company that owns the social network.
Facebook also shut down the page of "Justice for All" in September last year. The group said at the time that the company gave "cybersecurity" as the official reason and gave no more details.
