WomenFest in Burgas: Festival for Women in Society (March 5-7, 2026)

From March 5 to 7, 2026, the second edition of the International Women's Festival “WomenFest” will be held in Burgas. The festival is a platform for cultural dialogue, social engagement, and creative expression, dedicated to the role of women in society – past, present, and future.

The aim of the festival is to create a space for public discussion about the social, cultural and spiritual role of women. The program includes thematic lectures and discussions, cinema, applied arts, music, theater and interactive formats that focus on women's memory, identity, well-being and social contribution.

Organizers are the association “Association for Strategic Management Delphi”, the “Astica” Foundation and volunteers from the “European Solidarity Corps” program.

The festival is realized with the support of the European Union, and with the partnership of the Regional Library “Peyo Yavorov” - Burgas, Burgas Municipality, the association “DP Moira”, the “Crocus” Foundation, the “The Formula is in You” Foundation.

March 5, 2026 (Thursday)

• 1:30 p.m. “Influencer under a magnifying glass” – a critical look at the digital environment and the image of women, with the participation of students from PGCHE
• 2:00 p.m. “Video chronicles about women in the 60s – 70s of the XX century” prepared by volunteers from Bulgaria, Turkey and Spain
• 3:30 p.m. Official opening with the participation of amateur formations from Burgas and volunteers
• 4:00 p.m. “Women – guardians of sacred geometry and Glagolitic messages in Bulgarian embroidery” – lecturer Penka Barozova

March 6, 2026 (Friday)

• 10:00 a.m. “Craft creative workshops: making cards, craft bouquets, origami and wishes”
• 3:00 p.m. “Retro bites and sweet secrets” – culinary workshop
• 4:00 p.m. “Path to well-being” – guest lecturer Assoc. Prof. Dr. Penka Valcheva
• 5:30 p.m. “Quiet strength and eternal melody” – lyrical and musical evening with the participation of students from NUMSI

March 7, 2026 (Saturday)

• 11:00 a.m. “Experience corner: Learn – Create – Share” – an initiative for a second chance for clothes with Valentina Velikova, “The Formula is in You” Foundation
• 2:00 p.m. “Video chronicles about women in the 60s – 70s of the XX century”
• 2:30 p.m. Cinema – thematic screening
• 4:00 p.m. “The Office” – theatrical performance and storytelling discussion
