Movement of US military convoys through Bulgaria
On June 1 and 2, US Armed Forces personnel and military equipment will transit through the Bulgarian national road network. The operation is part of the planned logistical support for the rotation of units participating in the
Atlantic Resolvemission.
Route and security details
The transport is moving from Greece towards Romania. To ensure traffic safety, the convoys will be escorted by Military Police teams.
What is the Atlantic Resolve initiative?
- Launched in 2014 under the auspices of US Army Europe and Africa.
- Aims to strengthen deterrence and defense capabilities.
- Increases NATO readiness and interoperability among allies in Eastern Europe.
