Special forces from more than 15 countries and defence firms will show their skills at Cheshnegirovo airfield during the multinational experimental exercise BOLD ADRA – 26, the Ministry of Defence said.

The demonstrations will be held on a day for VIP guests. The exercise at the airfield runs from 19 to 23 October.

Participants are training to counter unmanned systems. They are also practising detection, feeding data into a single operational picture of the battlefield, and hitting targets.

The BOAD-26 exercise is organised by NATO's Allied Special Operations Forces Command (SOFCOM). Bulgaria's Joint Special Operations Command is the host.

Defence minister Dimitar Stoyanov and chief of defence Admiral Emil Eftimov will attend the demonstrations.
