On the Burgas – Tsarevo road yesterday, at approximately 10:20 a.m., law enforcement officers seized a vehicle after a 62-year-old man from Sofia was caught driving with a blood alcohol concentration of 1.75 per mille. He is one of a total of six drivers caught committing serious traffic violations in the Burgas region in just a few days, as reported by the Burgas Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior.

The list of offenders includes dangerous cases of driving under the influence of narcotics and alcohol, notably a man with 3.06 per mille blood alcohol content and a woman caught behind the wheel after using cocaine. Here is the chronology of the traffic violations recorded by the police on Friday:

  • At 08:20 a.m., near the "Ivan Vazov" school in Sunny Beach, a 24-year-old woman from Sofia was stopped while driving a BMW under the influence of cocaine.
  • Around 11:15 a.m., near the "Persani" hotel in Sunny Beach, a 44-year-old man from Nesebar was caught driving a Dacia Duster after using cocaine.
  • At 03:25 p.m., near the "Crystal Park – 2" hotel in Sunny Beach, a 38-year-old man from Dalgopol was stopped for a check while driving under the influence of methamphetamine.
  • On "Volga" Street in the "Pobeda" residential district of Burgas, around 04:30 p.m., a 57-year-old local man driving a Seat Ibiza was found to have a blood alcohol level of 3.06 per mille.
  • Around 06:15 p.m., near the parking lot of the "Santa Marina" holiday village, a 49-year-old driver from Vidin was caught behind the wheel of a Volkswagen Golf with a blood alcohol level of 1.68 per mille.
