A 92-year-old driver from Burgas crashed alone on the road between Tsarevo and Rezovo on Tuesday, 20 October, police said.

The crash happened at about 3:55pm at the 24th kilometre. The man was driving a Volkswagen Bora. He took a left bend too fast, lost control and hit an embankment beside the road with the side of the car.

He suffered a lacerated, bruised head wound and scrapes to the face. He was admitted to Burgasmed hospital for treatment.

No one else was hurt, police said.
