Repair of the Burgas - Sarafovo Road: Temporary Traffic Organization

A large-scale repair of the road surface on the strategic road Burgas – "Sarafovo" begins, covering a key section between the road junctions "Kableshkovo" and "Sarafovo".

These repair works, promising improvements to the infrastructure, will focus on the lane leading from the "Sarafovo" quarter to the heart of the city of Burgas.

A temporary traffic organization is planned, which will come into force from 14:00 tomorrow, October 21, 2025, Tuesday, and will continue until December 13, 2025, Saturday. During this period, the traffic lane in the direction from "Sarafovo" to the center of Burgas will be completely closed to all vehicles.

Due to these restrictions, traffic will be diverted in two-way mode in the lane serving the direction towards the "Sarafovo" quarter.

The repair works on the Burgas – "Sarafovo" road artery are expected to be comprehensive, including milling of the old asphalt, followed by repaving of the surface. In addition, new road markings will be laid, which aims to improve safety and traffic organization.

Burgas Municipality apologizes for the temporary inconvenience that will be caused to drivers of motor vehicles. The municipality reminds that alternative routes are provided for those traveling to the city of Pomorie and the "Sunny Beach" resort complex (according to the attached scheme):

• For the city of Pomorie: Road junction "Kableshkovo" – village of Laka – village of Kamenar – road I-9 (Varna – Burgas) at the Pomorie roundabout;
• For the "Sunny Beach" resort complex and the city of Varna: Road junction "Kableshkovo" – village of Laka – city of Kableshkovo – road I-9 (Varna – Burgas) at the Aheloy roundabout.

Burgas Municipality appeals to vehicle drivers to show understanding and to comply with the introduced temporary traffic organization, using the suggested alternative routes. Drive carefully and strictly observe the temporary organization, which will be in force in the area, the municipality calls.
