On April 10, the opening of the IV stage of the eighth All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in Bulgarian language and literature took place in Odessa at the Odessa Academy of Continuing Education of the Odessa Regional Council.
Four students from grades 9-11 from Bolhrad district, winners of the regional stage of the Olympiad, took part in the Olympiad. These are three students from the Bolhrad Gymnasium "Georgi Rakovski": Victoria Mokan from grade 9, Lyudmila Sibova from grade 10 and Anastasia Nikolaeva from grade 11, as well as a student from the Novotroyaniv Lyceum Daria Chuvalska from grade 10.

The participants visited the All-Ukrainian Center for Bulgarian Culture, where the director Dmytro Terzi told the students about the Bulgarian community in Ukraine and the activities of the cultural center over the years. The participants of the Olympiad were awarded with cash prizes and diplomas on behalf of the President of the Association of Bulgarians in Ukraine, People's Deputy Anton Kisse. The awards were presented by the Deputy Chairman of the Association Mykhailo Radev.
