The Orthodox Church is celebrating today the feast of the Holy Mother of God - It is Truly Meet. In Pomorie, the event is marked with a solemn liturgy and the opening of the XXI International Festival of Orthodox Music, which will continue until the end of the day.

The holy icon of the Mother of God was received early this morning at the Church of the Nativity of the Mother of God in Pomorie, where it will remain until the end of the festival. The festive liturgy was served by His Eminence Metropolitan Arseniy of Sliven and His Eminence Metropolitan Kiprian of Stara Zagora, together with other clergy. This marked the beginning of this year's 21st International Festival of Orthodox Music in Pomorie.

The program will continue from 5:00 PM today /June 11, 2025/, when the exhibition "Image and Presence" - icon painting by the young artist Katerina Katsarova - will be opened in the lobby of the Community Center "Prosveta 1888". At 6:00 PM, after the welcoming speeches by His Eminence Arseniy and the Mayor of Pomorie Municipality Ivan Aleksiev, the first festival concert will begin in the Church of the Nativity of the Mother of God.
