Bikers in Burgas open the winter riding season today with a meet-up at the Pantheon and a ride through the city centre, Georgi Vazharov of the Sea Brothers motorcycle club told BNR Burgas.

Riders gather at the Pantheon between 11am and 12pm. At midday they will ride along the main streets of the city, then head to the clubhouse to celebrate the new season.

The opening is part of the traditional "Wild Rabbit Count". Vazharov says the aim is safer roads and more tolerance towards bikers.

"As a rule, we ride for pleasure, but there are also mishaps, there are crashes, and some drivers who don't follow the rules behave improperly," he said.

Vazharov does not know how to counter this.
