"Butterflies and Diamonds": World Art Icons Take Over Burgas This Summer

The British contemporary art elite comes to Burgas

For the first time in Burgas, DG Art Gallery presents the exclusive exhibition "Butterflies and Diamonds". The event, held under the auspices of Mayor Dimitar Nikolov, is a key moment in the city's cultural calendar and an initiative supporting Burgas' bid for European Capital of Culture.

The exhibition brings together works by the most significant representatives of contemporary British art, united by the symbolism of the butterfly and the diamond as metaphors for beauty and eternity.

• Location: "Sea Casino" Cultural Center, Burgas ("Alexander Georgiev - Kodzhakafaliyata" and "Georgi Baev" halls).
• Opening: July 31, 2026, at 6:30 PM.
• Duration: August 1 – 31, 2026, every day from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

Visitors will be able to see works by:

• Sir Peter Blake: The pioneer of pop art, presented with the "Paris Suite" series.
• Marc Quinn: The iconic name from the "Young British Artists," exploring identity through nature and science.
• Damien Hirst: The world-renowned provocateur whose works define contemporary conceptual art.
• The Connor Brothers: Masters of ironic pop art, combining retro aesthetics with sharp contemporary humor.
