"Let us preserve the Bulgarian language, which makes us a nation, which connects us, unites us, and underpins our national self-esteem," stated Vice President Iliana Iotova at an official ceremony in front of the St. St. Cyril and Methodius National Library.
Language is our strongest connection to the past and a guarantor of our future as a nation.

Earlier in the day, the state leadership took part in the solemn procession in Sofia, during which thousands of citizens honored the work of the primary teachers. The holiday was marked by gratitude for education and spirituality, which are at the heart of the Bulgarian identity.

24.05.2026, 13:19Абе хора, ама т'ва с опазването на езика... добре де, разбирам присъдата, празник е и все така. Но да не стане като с другите "национални идентичности" – да ги пляскаме по време на празници, а после се гледа как се рушат училища и библиотеки, ама то парите са важни, нали?
