MRF wants three ministers to answer questions on Peevski's flights

The MRF's group in parliament has filed a request for parliament to hear three ministers over the flights of party leader Delyan Peevski, the party's press office says. See our original report: Delyan Peevski to appeal to the prosecutor's office over Demerdzhiev's accusations.

The MRF wants to hear from Demerdzhiev, deputy prime minister and finance minister Galab Donev, and regional minister Ivan Shishkov. The party says all three owe MPs answers, one question each.

Demerdzhiev must explain his own claims about Peevski's flights and about a link between guardrail firms and payments they made for those flights. He spoke of "36 invoices for 36 flights worth 5 million levs."

The MRF wants Donev to explain the "magic formula" that let a guardrail company collect millions. It wants Shishkov to say whether there was pressure on the recently departed head of Avtomagistrali to fit guardrails without a contract, and why he resigned afterward.

Last week the MRF filed a report with prosecutors over the supply and fitting of guardrails. The report also includes claims that an adviser to president Rumen Radev has ties to a company with a monopoly on supplying guardrails for Bulgaria's roads, the MRF's Hamid Hamid told reporters.

Parliament must now decide on the request for a hearing.
