The introduction of a direct air route between Vienna and Burgas aims to provide easier access to our Black Sea hub for the upcoming Eurovision 2027. Burgas Airport management clarified that the seasonal schedule for this route will begin earlier than usual, with the start date fixed for May 8th of next year.

The carrier operating these flights is the Austrian airline Austrian Airlines. Burgas Airport noted that by utilizing the global aviation hub in Vienna, passengers will have access to convenient transfer options to numerous locations across Europe and other continents, with the entire journey to our seaside city requiring only one flight change.

For its part, Bulgaria Air revealed its plans to optimize domestic traffic between Sofia and Burgas during Eurovision 2027. Between May 2nd and 19th, the schedule includes up to two flights per day.

To facilitate the arrival of passengers landing at Sofia Airport from abroad, in addition to the usual evening flights, extra afternoon frequencies will be added immediately prior to the start of the music contest.
