New appointments in municipal healthcare in Burgas

The Mayor of Burgas Municipality, Dimitar Nikolov, has officially submitted a proposal to the Municipal Council to approve the candidates who ranked first in the competitions for managers of three of the most important municipal medical facilities.

The procedures aim to ensure stable management and long-term development of key healthcare units in the region.

Who are the new managers?

• Specialized Hospital for Active Treatment of Pulmonary Diseases: Dr. Anelia Dimitrova;
• Mental Health Center "Prof. Dr. Ivan Temkov": Dr. Nadya Zhelyazkova;
• Complex Oncology Center: Dr. Nikolay Kiselkov.

The candidates were evaluated by specialized committees based on their submitted development concepts, management approaches, and measures for the financial sustainability of the hospitals. The Municipal Council is expected to vote on the proposal and grant a mandate to sign management contracts with the newly elected directors.
