Four people have died in the sea off the coast of Burgas following three separate incidents over the past few days, the Burgas Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior reported.
The first fatal incident was recorded on Saturday, at approximately 12:30 p.m., in the area between the northern beach of Ahtopol and the “Delfin” campsite. Four vacationers entered the unguarded zone and were pulled out by a strong current. Two of them managed to get out unharmed, but a 26-year-old citizen of Moldova and a 24-year-old Romanian citizen drowned.
Later that same day, at approximately 6:30 p.m., a report was received regarding a second incident at “Veleka” beach in Sinemorets. The body of a 69-year-old Ukrainian citizen was pulled from the water.
The tragic series continued on Sunday. At approximately 3:15 p.m., a report reached the Tsarevo Police Department stating that a 49-year-old man from Burgas had drowned in an unguarded area near the cliffs close to “Vasiliko” beach in Tsarevo.
The bodies of the four victims have been transported to the Forensic Medicine Department at the University Hospital in Burgas for autopsies.
