A report containing personal assessments and allegations of unlawful acts committed by the acting Prosecutor General has been received by the office of ad hoc prosecutor Anton Urumov. This was announced by the press center of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC), specifying that the document was submitted on August 14.

We remind you that on April 22, the Prosecutors' Chamber of the SJC appointed Vanya Stefanova as acting Prosecutor General for a six-month term. At the end of last year, Judge Anton Urumov of the Sofia City Court was selected as an ad hoc prosecutor tasked with investigating the Prosecutor General and their deputies.

Following receipt of the report, it was forwarded on August 17 to the head of the Penal Division of the Supreme Court of Cassation for further action, as is appropriate. The purpose of this step is to assess whether the necessary prerequisites for the case are met. At present, the Prosecutors' Chamber of the SJC has taken the information provided by Urumov under advisement.
