Marvel reveals the first trailer for 'Avengers: Doomsday' – Robert Downey Jr. returns as a villain

Marvel and Disney have officially unveiled the first full-length trailer for 'Avengers: Doomsday', which promises to shake the foundations of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). After the first footage was released only to CinemaCon attendees in April, the world can now see what awaits the superheroes.

The central figure of the new story is Doctor Doom, whose role will be played by Robert Downey Jr. This return of the actor has sparked numerous theories among fans, including the hypothesis that the villain could be a sinister version of Tony Stark from an alternative reality.

The trailer hints at a massive crossover, featuring not only familiar faces like Thor, Captain America, and Ant-Man, but also the debut of characters from X-Men, who were previously part of 20th Century Fox productions. Among the names appearing in the clip are Professor Charles Xavier, Magneto, Mystique, Cyclops, Gambit, and the Fantastic Four.

The plot focuses on the threat to the multiverse and the need for old and new heroes to unite to stop Doctor Doom. Although Spider-Man, Deadpool, or Doctor Strange are not directly mentioned in the trailer, fans expect their appearances to be part of the epic adventure.

The world premiere of 'Avengers: Doomsday' is scheduled for December 18 and will be available in cinemas in Bulgaria.
