Burgas will pay tribute to its creators with a large-scale concert-performance on September 14 at 7:30 PM. The event, which will be held in the Summer Theater, aims to celebrate the city's musical and poetic heritage, while also supporting its ambitious bid for European Capital of Culture in 2032.

The spectacular show is organized by the Municipality of Burgas and is part of a project proposal under procedure BG-RRP-11.021 – "New Generation Local Cultural Policies for Large Municipalities" grant scheme. The concert promises to be a true celebration of art, bringing together generations of creators whose works have become part of Bulgaria's cultural memory.

New arrangements of some of the most beloved Bulgarian songs have been specially prepared for the event by Burgas native Maestro Georgi Miltiyadov, who will conduct the Symphony Orchestra and a band. The musical program will include iconic works with music by Stefan Diomov, Georgi Naydenov – Gogo, Konstantin Tashev, and Ivan Kolarov. The lyrics, which will come to life on stage, are the work of some of the most significant names in Bulgarian poetry, born on the Burgas coast – Nedyalko Yordanov, Vanyo Valchev, Peyo Panteleev, Hristo Fotev, Petya Dubarova, and Ivan Vanev.

Among the golden hits that the audience will have the pleasure of hearing are the unforgettable “The Boy Who Talks to the Sea,” “Don't Grow Old, Love,” “Telephone Love,” “My Tomboy,” “Night Over the City,” “The Hill with the Crazy Grass,” “There Was in Burgas,” and “Hello, How Are You, Friend?”, as well as the eternal “Burgas Evenings.”

Some of the biggest names in Bulgarian music will gather on the stage of the Summer Theater to pay tribute to Burgas. The audience will be able to see and hear performances by:

The concert's script is by Maestro Stefan Diomov, and the director is Radoy Nikolov. In addition to this stellar presence, there will be a special appearance by the famous actor Dimitar Marinov.

The hosts for the evening will be Mina Ilieva, Georg Kiryakov, and Teodor Karakachanov, who will lead the audience through the history of each of the authors, revealing interesting details about their creative journey.

Although the event has free admission, the Municipality of Burgas emphasizes that all those wishing to attend must obtain zero-value advance tickets with a seat. They will be available at the “Clock” ticket office from 11:00 AM on September 5 until the day of the concert. To allow more people to attend, the maximum number of tickets per person is limited to six.

The concert-performance is shaping up to be one of the most significant cultural events of the year in Burgas, uniting generations in a celebration of the richness of local art. The audience will be immersed in the atmosphere of a city that breathes and lives through the creativity of its poets and composers.
