Exhibition in Burgas Marks 100 Years Since Violeta Maslarova's Birth

Burgas Art Gallery “Petko Zadgorski” is preparing to open its doors for a special exhibition, which will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Violeta Maslarova, one of the most prominent artists of Burgas. The exhibition promises to be a celebration of Maslarova's work, providing visitors with the opportunity to get acquainted with the richness of her artistic legacy.

The exhibition is planned to present works from the rich collection of the Burgas gallery, which will shed light on key moments from Maslarova's creative journey. The opening of the exhibition is scheduled for October 22, with the start planned for 6 pm. The paintings will be arranged in Hall I of the Burgas Art Gallery "Petko Zadgorski", providing the ideal space to enjoy the art.

Violeta Maslarova, born in Burgas in 1925, left a lasting mark on the history of Bulgarian art. Her contribution is particularly significant in the field of marine art, where she is considered one of the greatest masters in the country. Her canvases capture the unique charm of the sea, recreating it with exceptional skill and emotional depth.

The artist received a solid academic training, graduating from the Art Academy in Sofia, where she studied with famous professors such as Nikola Ganushev and Dechko Uzunov. This training formed the basis of her individual creative style and contributed to her establishment in the art world.

The work of Violeta Maslarova is recognized and valued not only in Burgas, but also throughout Bulgaria. Her paintings are included in the collection of the National Art Gallery and in a number of other galleries in the country, which is proof of the significance of her art. In 2000, in recognition of her contribution to the city and culture, Violeta Maslarova was awarded the title Honorary Citizen of Burgas, which underlines the respect and admiration for her from society.
