Following the remarkable premiere of “Ballet in the Opera” on the stage of the Summer Theater in Burgas, the attractive music and stage project will be presented for the first time in the hall of the Burgas Opera – on March 6 at 7 pm.

All the impressive performances, united by a common conceptual idea of choreographer Galina Kalcheva, will be presented by the wonderful artists from the international ballet troupe of the Burgas Opera, accompanied by the orchestra conducted by Maestro Stratsimir Pavlov /guest.

In “Ballet in the Opera”, an excellent balance has been found between the moods, atmosphere, tempos, and messages of the individual ballet scenes – alternating stormy passionate moments and emotional saturation with the nostalgic beauty of romantic studies. The ballet artists are irresistible in every single reincarnation – not only as a technical performance, but also as a full creative burning on stage.

Soloists on March 6 will be: prima ballerina Daniela Turtumanova-Stoyanova, Ilina Konstantinova, Laya Ramon, Raya Chakarova, premier-ballet dancer of the Sofia Opera and Ballet and the Burgas Opera Emil Yordanov, premier-ballet dancer of the State Opera – Burgas Daniel Tichkov and Teodor Tsakov, soloist of the troupe. The entire ballet company of the Burgas Opera takes part in the large-scale stage extravaganza.

“Ballet in the Opera”, in addition to the original choreography and professional performance by the ballet artists, will also impress with masterfully selected multimedia, created by Nikola Peshev, which complements the overall visual picture. Assistant director of the large-scale music and stage event is Petar Tiholov, concertmaster – Vanya Zlateva.

The program of "Ballet in the Opera" on Thursday will feature: Overture to the opera “Ruslan and Lyudmila” by Mikhail Glinka; Waltz from Act II of the opera “Eugene Onegin” by P. I. Tchaikovsky, “Dance of the Hours” from the opera “La Gioconda” by Amilcare Ponchielli, Ballet scene from II scene of II act from the opera “Aida” by Giuseppe Verdi, “Bacchanale” from the opera “Samson and Delilah” by Camille Saint-Saëns, “Polovtsian Dances” from the opera “Prince Igor”, Dance of the Blessed Spirits from the opera “Orpheus and Eurydice” by Christoph Gluck,  Intermezzo from the opera “Carmen” by Georges Bizet, “Walpurgis Night” – ballet scenes from the opera “Faust” to music by Charles Gounod, choreography – Leonid Lavrovski.
