The Municipality of Burgas reports record amounts of separately collected waste in 2024.
In 2024, Burgas Municipality collected 301 tons of separately collected waste, 81 tons more than the previous year. The largest quantities collected were paper, tires, electrical and electronic equipment, plastic and metals. The municipality awards prizes to the first 10 ranked citizens based on the accumulated points from the waste they have submitted.

Burgas invests in modern and energy-efficient street lighting
The Municipality of Burgas is starting the replacement of over 2,300 old street lighting fixtures with new, highly efficient LED lamps. The project will cover the central city area and three residential neighborhoods, and 85 old poles will also be replaced. Significant improvement in energy performance and lighting levels is expected.

Burgas students triumph at the first beach volleyball tournament
