The police have launched a campaign for the safety of elderly citizens.
The Main Directorate "National Police" launches a National Campaign "Safety Without Age", aimed at increasing the legal culture and awareness of the elderly for protection against crimes against their person and property. The campaign includes meetings of police officers with the elderly in municipalities, community centers and pensioners' clubs, as well as with the management of social homes, to provide information on various types of fraud and theft and ways to protect against them.

Investigation of violations in a former Elderly Home in the village of Jagoda
The Regional Prosecutor's Office in Stara Zagora has initiated pre-trial proceedings for unlawful deprivation of liberty, infliction of bodily injuries, and failure to provide care at a former Nursing Home in the village of Jagoda. The investigation has revealed physical abuse, humiliating treatment, and the improper administration of medication towards the residents of the home, most of whom were bedridden and restricted in their freedom.
A criminally charged man from Pomorie was arrested for possession of drugs.
The police in Burgas have detained a 34-year-old man from Pomorie, with a criminal record and convicted of various crimes. During the search, 200 grams of marijuana were found, as well as other substances related to drug trafficking. A 54-year-old man from Pomorie, found at the address, was also detained.

The health minister ordered an investigation into the failure to provide emergency medical assistance to a child in Sofia.
The Minister of Health, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Silvi Kirillov, ordered an emergency inspection on the case of a child not receiving emergency medical assistance in Sofia. He held a meeting with the directors of the Emergency Aid Center and the UMBAL "N.I. Pirogov" to receive detailed information about the incident.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food grants 11.7 million euros for afforestation and restoration of forest areas.

According to the annual ranking of the Institute for Management Development in Switzerland (IMD), Bulgaria ranks 57th out of 69 countries in terms of competitiveness in 2025. The country is making some progress compared to the previous year, but still faces a number of challenges related to corruption, lack of skilled workforce, and insufficient investment in innovation. Nevertheless, Bulgaria has significant strengths, such as macroeconomic stability, affordable labor force, and growing exports of ICT services, which can be used to improve competitiveness.
The Municipality of Nessebar is investing in the modernization of the street network in the resort settlements.
The mayors of Nessebar and Obzor inspected the repair activities on the main street in Obzor. The Consumer Protection Commission takes strict measures against unjustified price increases before the introduction of the euro in Bulgaria.
The chairperson of the Consumer Protection Commission, Maria Filipova, explained that the most severe sanction for unjustified price increases during the transition to the euro is the compulsory return to the old prices and compensation of damages to consumers. The Commission conducts joint inspections with the National Revenue Agency, focusing on food stores and catering and entertainment establishments.

The study shows that 83% of the participants in an information session on the digital product passport (DPP) are aware of the upcoming regulations, but only 29% are actively preparing. The standardization process at the European level is underway, with 6 out of a total of 8 modules already in public discussion. Key challenges are related to recycling, policy coordination, and the promotion of the circular economy.
