The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology has published an optimistic forecast for mountain routes, promising favorable conditions for tourist activities. Experts from the Mountain Rescue Service of the Bulgarian Red Cross offer important recommendations to mountain hiking enthusiasts.

The weather forecast predicts mostly sunny weather with gradual cumulus cloud development in the afternoon. Meteorological conditions will be most dynamic in the Rila-Rhodope region and western parts of the Stara Planina, where short-term precipitation and thunderstorms are possible.

Rescuers strongly advise tourists to take necessary precautions: have a fully charged mobile phone, wear appropriate clothing, and be prepared for possible atmospheric changes. Temperatures will range from 17° at 2000 meters altitude to 25° at 1200 meters, with a light to moderate eastern wind.
