The initiative belongs to Anelia Dimitrova, secretary of the community center "Gradina Varbitsa 1894". Thanks to the support of all those who organize the culinary festivals, this book was born. The goal is simple: to make the holidays more popular, attracting tourists, which in turn will boost the economic development of the local places.

The guide will take you through the rich palette of flavors and aromas that Gorna Oryahovitsa offers. You'll discover the Ragged Banitsa Festival in Varbitsa, as well as the Gardener's Festival in Draganovo. Don't miss the May Day rassol in Pervomaytsi, or the Golden Pear in Krusheto.

For connoisseurs of traditional cuisine, the National Folklore and Culinary Competition "The Magic of the Walnut" in Dolna Oryahovitsa is a must. Also, you can visit the Harvest Festival in Polikraishte, and of course, the Sugarcane Broom and Madjun Festival in Strelets, as well as "At the holiday in the village of Pravda".

The book was created under the project "Guide to culinary festivals in the settlements of Gorna Oryahovitsa municipality - culinary journeys in the Gorna Oryahovitsa region". It is funded by the budget of Gorna Oryahovitsa Municipality. The funds are from the fund "For new local initiatives for the benefit of the local community", under the procedure "Be active".

The guide will be distributed among travel agencies, twin cities and other partners. Sustainability of the project is expected, as the information and photos can be used for an updated edition in the future.
