On Saturday, September 12, residents and guests of Burgas are invited to share in the joy of the Meden Rudnik residential complex festival. This marks the sixteenth consecutive edition of cultural events aimed at honoring the traditions, talents, and unique spirit of the complex. The event is organized by the Municipality of Burgas and the "Paisiy Hilendarski 1928" Community Center, an initiative that has established itself as a special occasion for generations to meet and unite through their love for the neighborhood.

The celebratory day is packed with a rich program that begins symbolically at 10:00 AM. At that time, flowers will be laid at the monument to the founders of the Meden Rudnik complex in the courtyard of the "Nayden Gerov" Primary School — a gesture of gratitude to the people who laid the foundations and contributed to the history of the complex.

The main festivities move in the afternoon to the intersection of "Kooperator" Street and "Petrova Niva" Street, where the children's festive program begins at 5:30 PM. Young talents from the following groups will perform:

  • "Delfin" Kindergarten;
  • "Pinocchio" Kindergarten;
  • "Stars of Pobeda" Majorette Troupe at "Hristo Botev" Primary School;
  • "Lazur" Children's Dance School at "Nayden Gerov" Primary School;
  • "Zvanika" Children's Folklore Group at "Paisiy Hilendarski 1928" Community Center;
  • "Yasen Mesets" Bagpipe School at "Paisiy Hilendarski 1928" Community Center.

The evening is dedicated to Bulgarian traditions and authentic folklore. The musical part begins at 6:00 PM, when local amateur groups will take the stage for traditional singing and dancing competitions:

  • "Orhideya" Women's Folklore Group at the "Demokratsiya" Pensioners' Club;
  • "Plamak" Folklore Dance Club;
  • Bagpipe Ensemble at "Dobri Chintulov" Secondary School.

At 7:00 PM, the highlight of the evening will take place — a festive concert. The "Burgas" Orchestra will take the stage, accompanied by soloists Kristina Stoykova and Yana Biyukova, as well as guest performers Teodora Kurteva and Gergana Doynova from "Dobri Chintulov" Secondary School. To ensure the celebration ends on a truly impressive note, the sky over the Meden Rudnik complex will be illuminated by a beautiful fireworks display, providing the final touch to the festivities.
