Hot start to the week with a risk of hail

The week begins with typical July heat, with temperatures reaching up to 37 degrees. Despite the sunny start, the atmosphere will remain unstable.

Expect the development of cumulonimbus clouds in the afternoon hours, especially in the eastern regions and around the Rhodope Mountains, where local hail is possible.

Cooling and a cold front on Wednesday

Mid-week brings a significant change. A passing cold front will bring:

  • Stronger northwesterly wind;
  • Torrential rain and thunderstorms;
  • Temperatures that will drop below 30 degrees.

Friday is expected to be the coolest day of the period, with daytime values between 20 and 27 degrees. Conditions for unstable weather and hail will persist until the end of the work week.

Stabilization over the weekend

On Saturday, the atmosphere begins to stabilize, and on Sunday, we will once again enjoy sunny and hot weather with temperatures up to 37 degrees in the lowlands.
