Weather for August 28: sunshine, afternoon clouds, and warm sea near Burgas
On August 28, sunny weather will prevail across Bulgaria. Sunny weather will prevail in Eastern Bulgaria. While some temporary cloud cover is possible later in the day, the chance of rain will remain small. Expected maximum temperatures will be between 29 and 33 degrees. The wind will be light to moderate, mainly from the eastern quarter.
There is no swimming flag system for the country's interior. However, increased caution is advised when visiting reservoirs, rivers, and unguarded bodies of water.
Weather in the mountains
In the mountains, there will be more sunshine during the morning hours. In the afternoon, cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds will develop, with brief showers and thunderstorms in certain locations.
Temperatures at an altitude of about 1200 meters will be approximately 21-24 degrees, and at 2000 meters, they will be around 14-17 degrees. The wind will be light to moderate, with occasional increases in strength along the ridges. Hikers should plan high-mountain routes for the earlier hours of the day.
Along the Black Sea coast
Mostly sunny weather will prevail along the Black Sea coast. Rainfall is unlikely, and temperatures will be between 27 and 30 degrees. It will be warmer along the Southern Black Sea coast.
The sea water temperature will be around 25-26 degrees. The wind will be light to moderate, mainly from the east-northeast, with speeds up to about 25 km/h. Slight to moderate sea agitation is expected.
