A snake-like reptile has settled in the front of a silver Peugeot parked outside block 70 in the Izgrev district of Burgas. Photos posted on social media by a Burgas resident show it.

In the pictures, the animal's head sticks out of a narrow gap in the front grille, right behind the licence plate.

The man spotted the reptile and posted the photos to warn the car's owner, who probably does not know it is there.

It is not clear how the reptile got into the car or how long it has been there. It may have been looking for shelter in the tight space, but the exact circumstances are not known. The photos do not show for certain what species it is, or whether it is dangerous.

A specialist could remove the animal without harming it and without putting people nearby at risk.

Drivers are advised to check their cars, especially after they have stood outside for a long time.
