"Vazrazhdane" demands a complete ban on private electronic school registers in Bulgarian schools

The "Vazrazhdane" party has officially called for a regulatory ban on Bulgarian schools using private electronic information systems, especially those with foreign ownership. The request was presented by MP Angel Yanchev, who emphasized the need to protect the personal data of nearly half a million Bulgarian students.

"It is a matter of national and digital sovereignty. It is unacceptable for a private company, operating outside the direct control of the state, to hold information about the grades and personal data of our children," Yanchev stated.

• Data security: The party claims that British services possess a database with information about Bulgarian families.
• Technical stability: Crashes in foreign infrastructures block access to school information for thousands of parents.
• Financial unjustified costs: Despite the existence of a state electronic register, schools continue to pay subscription fees to private companies like "Shkolo".

"Vazrazhdane" has issued an ultimatum to the Ministry of Education and Science (MES) – to submit a draft amendment to Ordinance No. 8 within seven days. Otherwise, the party is prepared to introduce direct legislative changes to the Law on Preschool and School Education.
